Recensione : Seasons In The Abyss (Audio CD) Se "Reign in Blood" è la Bibbia della band, il punto di partenza, nonché uno dei tre album che rappresentano il thrash metal, riuscendo nell'intento di concentrare nei sui 28 minuti tutta la violenza del mondo, "Seasons in the Abyss" è un album più calmo, tecnicamente più ricercato. Araya inizia ad allontanarsi dai famosi gridolini di "Reign in Blood" e la band aggiunge una certa dose di eccellenza alle note che scorrono. Si inizia con "War Ensamble" che si riallaccia perfettamente a quanto sentito in "South of Heaven", rendendo però subito degli arrangiamenti complessivamente migliori. Le canzoni centrali abbassano i ritmi, discostandosi totalmente dalla produzione precedente (e volendo spianando la strada al sound che sarà di "God Hates Us All"). Tutto l'album esplode alla fine con la traccia che da il titolo all'album, della quale solo l'intro vale il prezzo del disco.
